If you get a message asking you to update your identity verification information, you can confirm it's really from Bitso before you act on it.

How to check if the request is real

Legitimate identity verification requests always appear inside the Bitso app, or on bitso.com after you log in. Open the app yourself and check the notice on your home screen instead of clicking links in a message.

What Bitso will never ask

Bitso never asks you to send documents, passwords, or verification codes by email or by replying to a message. If a message asks you to do this, don't respond and don't click any links in it.

If you're unsure whether a request is real, open the Bitso app and check for the notice there. If you don't see one, the message didn't come from Bitso. If you already clicked a suspicious link or shared any information, contact Bitso support right away.
