For certain assets, Bitso Quotes becomes the only way to trade on Bitso. This affects advanced order types and trading on Bitso Alpha, but your balance, deposits, and withdrawals are not affected.
Assets affected
| Asset | Status |
|---|---|
| BAL (Balancer) | Migrated |
This table is updated whenever a new asset moves to this model.
What changes
- Advanced order types (limit orders, target price conversions, and recurring buys) are no longer available for the affected asset.
- Trading on Bitso Alpha is no longer available for the affected asset.
- Any open limit order that wasn't filled or cancelled before the migration was automatically cancelled.
What stays the same
- Your balance is not affected. This is not a delisting: you keep your holdings and can buy or sell anytime.
- Bitso Quotes remains available, exactly as before. You can still buy and sell instantly using our instant quote.
- On-chain deposits and withdrawals remain fully enabled.
Why this is changing
These assets had low liquidity on the Bitso Alpha order book, which affected execution quality. We integrated them into Bitso Quotes, our program that aggregates liquidity from multiple global providers, to give you better availability and a better trading experience.
What you need to do
- No action is needed for your balance, deposits, or withdrawals.
- If you had an open limit order on the affected asset, it was automatically cancelled once the migration completed.
- If you used recurring buys on that asset, you'll need to buy manually going forward using Bitso Quotes.
Frequently asked questions
Why couldn't I trade this asset for a few hours during the migration? We performed a brief maintenance task, a few hours, to complete the migration. Everything is now operating normally in the app.
How will I know if an asset I hold is affected? You'll see an in-app notice if you hold an affected asset. You can also check the table at the top of this article for the current list.
Are these assets being delisted? No. They remain fully supported on Bitso. Only trading on Bitso Alpha is being removed; you can still trade through Bitso Quotes, just as you always could.
