If you don't complete a requested identity verification update by the deadline, Bitso temporarily limits some services on your account. Your funds are not affected and remain safe.

What gets limited?

Once the deadline passes without your update, deposits in your local currency, conversions, and trading are paused on your account.

Your account is not closed or suspended. You can still withdraw your funds, both crypto and local currency, and you can still receive crypto deposits at any time.

Can you refuse to update?

Submitting the update is your choice, but Bitso can't waive the requirement. Without it, Bitso can't keep offering you full access to its services. If you choose not to update, the limits above apply after the deadline and stay in place until you complete it.

How the limitation gets lifted?

The limitation lifts automatically as soon as you complete the update. There's nothing extra to request and no waiting period once your information is verified.

If you scanned a new ID, verification usually takes about 5 minutes and confirmation arrives in less than 24 hours. If you only updated personal details, without a new ID scan, your update is confirmed immediately.
