FAQ: Bitso Card will no longer be available

Modified on:

Starting May 26, 2025,  Bitso Card will be deactivated. We know it was a very valuable tool, which is why we’ve prepared this guide to answer all your questions about the product's shutdown.

Why is the Bitso Card being discontinued?

We’re focusing our efforts on solutions that are more aligned with your real needs: saving, investing, and long-term financial growth.

The Bitso Card was launched in March 2023 as an innovative way to pay with crypto. Since then, we’ve learned a lot about how our customers use our products, and we plan to come back with better improvements.

When will my Bitso Card stop working?

Your Bitso Card will stop working on May 26, 2025. Until then, you can continue using it for purchases and ATM withdrawals. After that date, any attempted use will be declined. If you have any pending transactions dated before May 26, they will be processed without issue.

What happens to my subscriptions linked to the card?

We recommend updating all recurring payments linked to your Bitso Card (like Netflix, Spotify, etc.) as soon as possible to avoid service interruptions.

Will I be able to request a new card in the future?

For now, the Bitso Card won’t be available. However, we’re working on new solutions and, as a Bitso product user, you’ll be among the first to know if we come back with an improved version!

What will happen to my personal and financial data?

Bitso will continue protecting your information in accordance with its privacy policies. The card closure does not affect your account or the funds you have available on Bitso.

Do I need to do anything with my Bitso account?

No. Your Bitso account remains active and fully functional. Just make sure to migrate any recurring payments before May 26.
