Before you start:

What is a transaction PIN?

A transaction PIN is a 6-digit number that you use to confirm your withdrawals when using the web version of Bitso. You need to  set it when you create your Bitso account, and it works like an ATM PIN.

How to change the transaction PIN

First, go to the Profile section, and then, under the Security menu, choose the "Account security" option.

Once you select "Change" in the Transaction PIN section, you need to follow a 3-step process:

Step 1. Fill in your personal information, such as the email you used to create your Bitso account, your date of birth, and your country of residence.

Step 2. We'll send a code to your email. This code will be available for 30 minutes. If it expires, you can request another one.

Step 3. Once you enter the code, we'll confirm your identity by sending another code to your phone number via SMS.

If for some reason you don’t get the SMS, check this list of possible solutions.

Then, you'll be able to change your Transaction PIN. Make sure you use only numbers, which can’t be consecutive or identical.

After that, you'll be able to use your new transaction PIN whenever you need to authorize transactions on the web version of Bitso.
