What rates does Bitso+ offer?

Modified on:

Here at Bitso we are committed to providing you the best benefits and usability of crypto but without compromising the security and health of your funds. When it comes to generating yields with fixed rates, it is important to mitigate risks by using a responsible approach.

The approach and risk-mitigating philosophy behind Bitso+ is composed of a tiered yield system. Below we explain exactly how it works:

Asset

Tier

Balance

Annual rate

USD stablecoins (Digital Dollar)

#1

From 0 to 1,000 USD

8%

#2

From 1,001 USD to 10,000 USD

4%

#3

Above 10,000

3%

Ether

#1

From 0 to 1 ETH

2%

#2

Above 1 ETH

0.5%

Bitcoin

#1

From 0 to 0.1 BTC

2%

#2

Above 0.1 BTC

0.1%

Each tier reflects a specific part of your crypto in Bitso+. To make it clear, here is an example:

Let's imagine that Andrea deposits 20,000 USD stablecoins in her Bitso account.

  • For her first 1,000 USD, she will get weekly yields on a 8% annual basis.
  • And for the following 9,000 USD, she will get weekly yields on a 4% annual rate.
  • And from the remaining 10,000, she will get weekly yields on a 3% annual rate.

Now, let's imagine that Andrea buys 0.2 bitcoin.

  • For her first 0.1 BTC, she will get weekly yields on a 2% annual basis.
  • And for the following 0.1 BTC, she will get weekly yields on a 0.1% annual rate.

Similar case with Ether. Let's imagine that Andrea buys 2 ETH.

  • For her first 1 ETH, she will get weekly yields on a 2% annual basis.
  • And for the following 1 ETH, she will get weekly yields on a 0.5% annual rate.
