Enjin Coin (ENJ)

Modified on:

What is Enjin Coin (ENJ)?

Enjin is a centralized company, founded in 2009 by Maxim Blagov and Witek Radomski, and pivoted to a blockchain company in 2018, whose purpose is to provide game developers with all tools needed to create a virtual economy within their game through the use of NFT's. Enjin Coin (ENJ) is the utility token used in this gaming universe to power some key features, such as minting NFTs, and buying and selling items inside the game. Essentially, by using the Enjin Coin and the Enjin platform, developers, and also users, can turn in-game items, like a character's weapon in an RPG, or a car in a racing game, into digital property, and, then, negotiate these properties with other players outside the game, or inside another game through out the Enjin ecosystem.

What makes it unique?

  • Enjin is not only a blockchain project, but also a community of gamers and game developers that are engaged with Enjin since before it was part of the crypto economy;

  • The company has been in the games industry since 2009. When they joined the crypto market, they were already savvy about what gamers and developers need;

  • With Enjin Coin, pretty much anyone can mint NFTs, and any NFT can be melted (turned back to tokens) to ENJ. All this happens in a no-code, user-friendly platform;

  • They have their own marketplace for buying and selling NFTs, which makes them also a market for non-fungible crypto assets;

  • Enjin is a full-stack blockchain solution for gaming.

Finality

Enjin's purpose is to evolve the gaming industry through blockchain technology. They make it easy for developers to connect their games to a digital economy and find players, while always facilitating it for gamers to discover games, mint NFTs and trading items across the whole ecosystem. Enjin is remarkably helping to build and expand the metaverse.
