If you decided to move your portfolio from Bitso to Mercado Bitcoin, we'll transfer your balances automatically, keeping the same crypto assets whenever possible.

However, in some cases, an asset will be converted to USDC before the transfer instead of moving as-is. This can happen for a few reasons:

• The asset isn't available on Mercado Bitcoin at all.
• The asset is available on Mercado Bitcoin, but not on the same network you currently hold it on with Bitso.
• The asset can't currently be supported for transfer on Bitso's side.

In any of these cases, we convert the asset to USDC at its market value at the time of transfer, so you don't lose value. You'll simply receive it as USDC on your Mercado Bitcoin account instead of the original asset. From there, you can hold your USDC, convert it to another asset, or withdraw it, just like any other balance.

Your funds are safe and accounted for throughout this process. This is a conversion, not a loss of funds.

Assets that will be converted to USDC

If you hold any of the following, it will move to your Mercado Bitcoin account as USDC rather than as the original asset:

What you can do

• Don't want to be converted to USDC? You can withdraw or convert that asset yourself by September 30, 2026, instead of waiting for the automatic transfer.
• Prefer not to move to Mercado Bitcoin at all? You can opt out and withdraw or convert all your funds to any account you choose before October 30, 2026.

Assets that you need to withdraw

If you hold assets that aren't on the list, like TIGRES or TUSD, you need to send them to a supported external wallet by September 30, 2026.

 

If you don't act by then

Your assets will stay in its original currency within Bitso. After September 30, you'll still be able to redeem it by contacting our Support team.
