You can add a passkey to confirm it's you with your fingerprint, face or device PIN, instead of a one-time code by SMS. Follow the steps for your device below.

From the app (iPhone and Android)

1. Open the Bitso app and go to 'Profile'.
2. Select 'Security', then 'Passkeys'.
3. Tap 'Add passkey'.
4. Confirm it's you with your authenticator app or a code by SMS.
5. Choose where to save the passkey. On iPhone choose 'iCloud Keychain'. On Android choose 'Google Password Manager'.
6. Confirm with your fingerprint, face or device PIN.

Your new passkey appears in the list, showing where it's saved and the date you created it.

From the website

1. Log in at bitso.com and go to 'Profile'.
2. Select 'Security', then 'Passkeys'.
3. Click 'Add passkey'.
4. Confirm it's you with your authenticator app or a code by SMS.
5. Choose where to save it and confirm with your fingerprint, face or device PIN.

Didn't work? Here's what to do

• Make sure your phone's operating system is up to date. Passkeys need iOS 16 or later, or Android 9 or later.
• If you still can't add a passkey, open a chat with our support team.
