To deposit Colombian pesos into Bitso, transfer the amount from Nequi or Bancolombia. Bitso credits the deposit to your balance automatically once the transfer is confirmed.

How to start the deposit

1. Open the action menu and tap Receive.
2. Select Colombian pesos.
3. Enter the amount you want to deposit. The minimum is 10,000 COP; if you enter less, Bitso shows the notice "Enter a minimum amount of 10,000 COP."
4. The screen also shows your deposit limit and the amount you've already deposited this month, so you know how much is left.
5. Tap the bank selector and choose Nequi or Bancolombia — these are the only two banks available for this method.
6. Review the fee (0 COP, no cost), then tap Continue.

Depositing with Nequi

Before you continue, confirm that the phone number linked to your Bitso account matches the one registered in Nequi. If it doesn't, update it in your Bitso security settings first, then tap Continue.

1. Bitso shows you the steps: open the Nequi app, go to your notifications, and confirm the deposit request by tapping Accept.
2. In the Nequi app, open your notifications, find the pending payment request for your amount, and tap Accept.
3. Nequi shows a confirmation screen. Return to Bitso, the deposit is credited automatically.

You have 24 hours to confirm the deposit in Nequi. Funds usually credit to your Bitso balance within about 1 hour after you confirm.

Depositing with Bancolombia

Bitso shows a confirmation screen with your amount and reminds you that you have 24 hours to complete the transfer, with funds crediting in about 1 hour. Tap Continue.

You're redirected to Bancolombia's Sucursal Virtual. Sign in with the same username you use for Bancolombia online banking to authorize and complete the transfer to Bitso.

Didn't work? Here's what to do

If you're depositing with Nequi and don't receive the notification to confirm, check that your phone number in Bitso matches the one registered in Nequi.

If you don't confirm the deposit within 24 hours, the request expires and the funds aren't credited. Start the deposit again to get a new request.
