How do the rate and MORPHO rewards work in Vaults?

Modified on:

The interest rate on Vaults isn't set by Bitso, but by the market, based on lending demand within the Morpho protocol. Because of that, the USDC rate can go up or down over time, and currently varies roughly between 4% and 8% annually. The MXNB rate works differently: instead of floating freely with the market, it's targeted at up to 8% annually. In both cases, the rate shown in the app is always the current rate, updated in real time.

MORPHO rewards

Besides the yield your USDC or MXNB earns, Vaults may distribute MORPHO tokens as an additional reward. Claim these tokens directly on your Vaults detail page, and they're sent straight to your Bitso account. Like the yield itself, MORPHO rewards are variable and aren't guaranteed.

Tax on your earnings

You're responsible for reporting and paying any tax on your Vaults yield and on any MORPHO rewards you claim. Since Bitso doesn't provide tax advice, if you have questions about how tax applies to your situation, speak with a qualified professional.
