You can receive Bitcoin (BTC) through the Lightning Network directly in your Bitso account. Follow these steps.
- Open the Bitso app and tap Deposit.
- Select Cryptocurrency, then select Bitcoin.
- Choose Lightning as the transaction method.
- Enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to receive, or ask the sender to enter it.
- Generate a Lightning invoice and share it with the sender.
Once the sender completes the transaction, the Bitcoin appears in your account almost immediately. The minimum amount you can receive through Lightning is 0.00000001 BTC.
Didn't work? Here's what to do
- The sender says the invoice doesn't work: generate a new Lightning invoice. Invoices expire after a period of time and can't be reused once that happens.
- The funds don't arrive: confirm the sender used the Lightning method and not a regular Bitcoin transaction, since the two aren't interchangeable.
- The amount is rejected: confirm the amount is above the minimum of 0.00000001 BTC.
