You can send Bitcoin (BTC) through the Lightning Network directly from your Bitso account. Follow these steps.
- Open the Bitso app and tap Send.
- Select Cryptocurrency, then select Bitcoin.
- Choose Lightning as the transaction method.
- Enter the recipient's Lightning invoice.
- Confirm the transaction.
The minimum amount you can send through Lightning is 0.00000001 BTC. Before you send, confirm the recipient's wallet or exchange supports Lightning payments, since not every provider does.
Didn't work? Here's what to do
- The invoice doesn't scan or paste correctly: ask the recipient to generate a new Lightning invoice. Invoices expire after a period of time and can't be reused once that happens.
- The transaction won't confirm: confirm the recipient's wallet actually supports Lightning. If it only supports regular Bitcoin transactions, the Lightning invoice won't work.
- The amount is rejected: confirm the amount is above the minimum of 0.00000001 BTC.
