If the mobile number linked to your Bitso account needs to be corrected or updated, or if you can no longer access it, don't worry! Follow the next steps to change it.
If you haven't logged into your account, have your ID ready and reach out to us through the chat. Keep in mind that the process may take 10 to 15 minutes.
If you're already logged in, here’s a step-by-step guide so you can do it yourself.
App - Change mobile number
Step 1. Open the Bitso app on your phone and go to your Profile.
Step 2. Select “Security” and choose “Change mobile number”.
Step 3. Read the warning stating that withdrawals will be disabled for 1 day if you decide to change your phone number. This is a security measure to protect your account. If you agree, select "Continue".
Step 4. Fill in your date of birth and country of residence.
Step 5. You’ll receive a code in your email. Enter it on the app.
Step 6. Add your new mobile number and confirm it.
Step 7. You’ll receive an SMS with a code in your new mobile number. Enter it. That’s it!
Web - Change mobile number
Step 1. Open the Bitso website and go to your Profile.
Step 2. Select “Security”, go to the “Mobile number” section, and select “Change”.
