To send crypto from Bitso to an external wallet or exchange, you need the receiving address and enough time for the network to confirm the transaction.
Before you start
Crypto transfers require network confirmations before they complete. If the network is busy, confirmation can take several hours. Once a withdrawal is submitted to the blockchain, you can't cancel, reverse, or speed it up, and Bitso can't intervene in the confirmation process. While it waits for confirmations, the withdrawal shows as pending and updates automatically once confirmed.
Send the crypto
- Open the app and select "Send".
- Choose the cryptocurrency you want to send.
- Enter the amount in pesos or in crypto.
- Select "Next" and choose "Crypto address" as the destination.
Enter the destination address
Enter the address where the funds will be sent. An address is a combination of numbers and letters, for example 31rjKPVpRFo0HyjWeCUztYpTHf4UtiLdBt.

If you're sending to a cold wallet, the tag usually isn't required, but the receiving address needs to be activated with a minimum amount of XRP (roughly 20 to 25 XRP; confirm the current minimum before sending). |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Only Segwit addresses are supported when sending to another exchange. These start with the letter M. Native Segwit addresses that start with "ltc1" aren't supported, and the withdrawal can't be completed to that type of address. |
Select "Continue" and enter your transaction PIN to confirm.
Double check before you confirm
Always verify the destination address before confirming, checking at least the first four and last four characters. If you send crypto to the wrong address, neither you nor Bitso can recover it, and the funds are permanently lost on the blockchain.
Track your withdrawal
On the app's home screen, swipe up to the "Activity" section and select the transaction to see the amount sent, the destination address, and the transaction hash, also called Tx ID, a unique code that identifies your transaction on the blockchain (for example 48fd533ba8d6036b20ca12bd1421b9304eecd00f3aj4aca6cd7fe8a9845ec53d). Keep this code if you need to contact support about the withdrawal.
Didn't work? Here's what to do
- Withdrawal stays pending for a long time: normal while the network confirms; congestion can add several hours.
- Litecoin withdrawal won't go through: the destination address must start with the letter M; native Segwit addresses starting with "ltc1" aren't supported.
- XRP sent to another exchange doesn't arrive: confirm you included the destination tag the receiving exchange requires.
- You entered the wrong address: a submitted withdrawal can't be canceled or reversed, and recovery isn't possible.
- Can't find your transaction in Activity: confirm you selected the right cryptocurrency and date, then contact support with as many details as you have.
