If you already have a Bitso account, follow these steps to log in from the Bitso app on your phone. If you don't have a Bitso account yet, create one first.
- Download the Bitso app from Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
- Open the app and tap "Log in."
- Enter your email and password. Depending on your security settings, the app asks for a two-step verification code or your fingerprint. Two-step verification is an extra layer of security: Bitso sends you a one-time code by SMS, or you generate it in a verification app such as Google Authenticator.
- Enter the code or confirm with your fingerprint. You are now logged in to your Bitso account.
Didn't work? Here's what to do
The Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint option doesn't appear
- iPhone: enable Face ID or Touch ID in Settings > Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode).
- Android: enable your fingerprint in your phone settings. The path changes by brand and version, usually Settings > Security (or Security and privacy, or Biometrics and security) > Fingerprint. If you can't find it, search "fingerprint" in Settings.
Then try again in the Bitso app.
It stopped working after updating the app
Log out and log back in. The app asks for your email, your password, and a new PIN. After that, Face ID, Touch ID, or your fingerprint works again.
You can't log in because of too many failed attempts
After several failed attempts, Bitso pauses your access for a few minutes to protect your security. Wait before you try again. If you keep failing after the pause, your account may be suspended and you will need to contact us.
If it still doesn't work, contact support from the chat in the app or on the Bitso website.
