You can change the email address on your Bitso account directly from your account settings. If you can't log in to your account, contact our support team instead.
If you can log in to your account
- In the top right corner of the screen, go to your account menu and select "Profile".
- On the left menu, go to "Security" and then "Account security."
- Find the "Email" section and click "Change."
- Confirm your identity with the verification method you choose. If you get your code by WhatsApp, keep in mind Bitso only sends a 6-digit code that way. Bitso never contacts you on WhatsApp, Instagram, email, or any other channel to ask for this code. Report any message that looks suspicious to our support team.
- If you have two-step verification turned on, enter the 6-digit code from your verification app (for example, Google Authenticator) to continue. If you don't have the device with your verification app, contact our support team.
- Enter the new email address you want to use and your current password.
- Click "Change" to confirm.
Complete this process only on the Bitso website, without help from anyone else. Bitso never contacts you to ask you to confirm your account details, unless you opened a support request yourself. You'll get a notification once your email address changes successfully.
If you can't log in to your account
Keep your government-issued ID on hand and contact our support team through chat. This process can take between 10 and 15 minutes.
Didn't work? Here's what to do
- You don't have the device with your verification app: contact our support team to confirm your identity another way.
- You got a message asking for your code: don't share it with anyone. Report it to our support team right away.
- You didn't get a confirmation notification: check your email spam or junk folder before contacting our support team.
