When your transaction is in process, it means the order has been sent to the market but has not been executed yet. This can happen for several reasons:
- Market hours: For some stocks, if you placed the order outside regular market hours, it will be processed once the market opens. However, there are over 2,000 stocks that allow trading during night sessions
- Limit order: If your order has a limit, it will only be executed when the stock reaches the price you set. If it doesn’t reach that price, the order may not be completed
- Transaction volume: Sometimes, if your order is for a very large amount and the market is busy, there may be a slight delay in order execution
Once the transaction is executed, you will receive a notification and see the change reflected in your portfolio
