About the address change
On September 17, 2025, Bitso will upgrade its wallet infrastructure to improve efficiency, security, and support future integrations.
As part of this upgrade, deposit addresses for the following networks will be updated:
- Cardano (ADA)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)
- Hedera (HBAR)
- TON
- Stellar (XLM)
- DYDX
- Cosmos (ATOM)
- Algorand (ALGO)
- Polkadot (DOT)
- NEAR
- Solana (SOL, USDC, BONK, WIF, RENDER, POPCAT)
From that date forward, you’ll need to use your new crypto address to receive deposits for these assets.
During the upgrade
The upgrade will take place on September 17, 2025 during a scheduled maintenance window starting at 7:00 UTC.
During maintenance:
- Deposits and withdrawals for Cardano, Dogecoin, Hedera, TON, Stellar, DYDX, Cosmos, Algorand, Polkadot, NEAR, Solana will be temporarily paused. Trades and conversions will not be impacted.
- Deposit addresses will be updated and you will receive your new deposit addresses automatically.
What will happen on Bitso
- Bitso will assign your new deposit addresses automatically, for Cardano, Dogecoin, Hedera, TON, Stellar, DYDX, Cosmos, Algorand, Polkadot, NEAR, and Solana networks.
- You’ll receive a notification once your new addresses are ready.
- After that, you’ll need to update your deposit address in the allowlists of other exchanges, DApps, and wallets you use.
- Your old address will still work for a limited time, but it will be deactivated in the next few months. We’ll notify you before this happens.
- To avoid disruptions, we recommend you start using your new address as soon as you receive the notification that it is available.
FAQs
1. Where can I find my new deposit address?
- Open the Bitso app or go to Bitso.com.
- Go to Wallet and select the token you want to deposit (e.g., SOL).
- Tap Deposit and select the network.
- You’ll see a QR code and an alphanumeric string, that’s your new deposit address.
2. Do I need to do anything for this migration?
No, the migration is automatic. You just need to update your new deposit address in the allowlists of any exchanges, wallets, or DApps you use to send tokens to Bitso.
3. Which network addresses are being updated?
Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Hedera (HBAR), TON, Stellar (XLM), DYDX, Cosmos (ATOM), Algorand (ALGO), Polkadot (DOT), NEAR, Solana (SOL, USDC, BONK, WIF, RENDER, POPCAT).
4. Why is my deposit address being updated?
We’re upgrading our wallet infrastructure to improve efficiency, security, and support future integrations.
5. Can I still deposit to my old address?
Yes, for now. Your old address will remain active temporarily, but it will be deactivated in the coming months. You’ll receive notifications in advance.
6. What happens if I send deposits to my old address after September 17th?
Your deposit will still be credited. However, since your old address will be deactivated soon, to avoid disruptions, update your new deposit address everywhere you had the old one saved as soon as you receive it.
7. What will happen if I deposit to my old address after it is deactivated?
Once your old address is deactivated, any deposits sent to it will not be credited to your account. While we cannot prevent transfers to old addresses, funds sent there will be lost. To avoid disruptions, please switch to your new address as soon as you receive it. We’ll notify you in advance before deactivation takes place.
