How Automatic Pix works on Bitso

Modified on:

Automatic Pix lets you pay recurring expenses, like water, electricity, condo fees, gym memberships, or subscriptions, in a simple way at no cost. To use this feature, you authorize the company or institution that charges you for the product or service to send the charges periodically to your Bitso account.

How to authorize Automatic Pix

You can authorize Automatic Pix in three ways:

  • Accept an offer sent by the company inside the Bitso app.
  • Scan a QR code provided by the company with the Bitso app.
  • Go through the company's website or app, which redirects you to the Bitso app to confirm the authorization.

How payments work

Once authorized, Bitso schedules the payments automatically in your account, on the date and frequency set by the company: weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. You choose whether to receive notifications when a payment is scheduled and when it goes through.

If the expense has a variable amount, you can set a maximum amount for each payment. You can also set a total limit for Automatic Pix.

Didn't work? Here's what to do

If your account balance is insufficient on the payment date, or if the payment goes over the limit you set for Automatic Pix, you get a notification that same day. From there, you can:

  • Make a deposit to your account to complete the payment.
  • Request an increase to your Automatic Pix limit.

If the issue continues after that, contact our support team.

Manage or cancel Automatic Pix

You can view, manage, and cancel your authorizations and scheduled debits at any time, directly in the Bitso app.
