What are digital assets with limited transactions on Bitso?

Modified on:

Some digital assets on Bitso are offered with limited transactions. You can buy and sell these assets through the Bitso app using US dollars, Mexican pesos, Argentine pesos, Colombian pesos, Brazilian reais, or Tether (USDT), but they come with specific restrictions on how you can trade and hold them.

Why do these digital assets have limited transactions?

Limiting certain features lets Bitso offer more digital assets while keeping the same security standards across the platform. It also lets Bitso add new digital assets faster.

How do you identify these digital assets?

Digital assets with limited transactions show a "Limited transactions" label on their detail page in the Bitso app.

What are the trading limitations?

  • You can buy and sell them only through the Bitso app. They are not available on Bitso Alpha.
  • You can only place basic buy and sell orders. Scheduled orders and limit orders are not available.
  • Bitso holds these assets for you. You cannot deposit or withdraw them to or from an external crypto wallet.

Are these digital assets secure?

Yes. Bitso applies the same security standards to these assets as to every other digital asset on the platform. Your balance stays fully backed even though you cannot move these assets to or from an external crypto wallet directly.
