Why aren't staked funds part of the Proof of Solvency report?

Modified on:

The Proof of Solvency report is the most important proof of financial health a custodian can provide its customers. Knowing that a financial institution is solvent gives you, as a customer, the guarantee that your money is at your disposal whenever you want to use it.

Staked funds are securely held and carefully tracked. However, because they are long-term investments with a “locked” status, they are not included in your report. Rest assured, your funds remain completely safe, and you can withdraw them from your Bitso account at any time.

If you prefer not to withdraw but want to disable the Earnings feature, you have the flexibility to do so either for all program assets or individually for specific assets.

The non-staked funds in your wallet are fully included in the report and verified through Merkle Tree validations.
