How to release your reserved balance

Modified on:

If you have reserved balance, it means funds are set aside for active orders, programmed transactions, or both. To release this balance and make it available, you'll need to cancel those orders or transactions. Follow the step-by-step guides below to learn how.

Remember you can only cancel the orders in the Bitso Alpha app and the transactions in the Bitso app.

How to cancel your active orders

  1. Open the Bitso Alpha app.
  2. Go to the Orders” tab.

  1. In the “Active” section, tap the cross icon next to each order and choose Cancel order”. (You’ll need to cancel them one by one).

  1. Once that’s done, open the Bitso app to access and use your total balance.

How to cancel your programmed transactions

  1. Open the Bitso app.
  2. Go to the Activity” tab and select the Scheduled” section.

  1. For each transaction, select Delete programmed purchase/sale” and confirm by choosing “Yes, delete”.

  1. If you have any scheduled Pix transactions, go to the Withdrawals” option and cancel them too.

Once all your orders and programmed transactions are canceled, you can withdraw your total balance. Keep in mind that if any portion of your balance is on hold, you’ll need to wait 24 hours from when it was received before you can withdraw it.
